The company was founded under the name of E. Trump and Son by his paternal grandmother Elizabeth Christ Trump, and his father, Fred Trump, in 1927.

Donald Trump transferred the management to his children in the year 2017 when he was preparing to take over the White House.

Tevfik Arif, founder of Spring Street was able to make an arrangement that could increase brand recognition as well in the prestige of the project.

According to him, Trump Organization would obtain 18% equity in the building in return of having the Trump logo on the building's title.

The three companies involved agreed to the arrangement. In 2006 the first construction began for the project that would later become Trump SoHo.

Two years later Bayrock Group was founded by the Trump Organization as well as the Sapir Organization and the Trump Organization. They also launched Trump SoHo in New York City.

The goal was to construct structures in Arizona and Florida like Trump SoHo under the same terms as Trump SoHo. It would leave the Trump Organization with an 18 percent equity stake in the structure in exchange to use the Trump brand in their names. It's back again.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization had everything in place. But the 2008 financial crisis that severely affected the American real market was the catalyst that stopped their plans.
